Marjorie, of course, was a teacher. She also joined the American Red Cross and went oversees. She was over in Japan and in Korea during the Korean War. She brought home all of these Japanese doodads. After she retired from teaching, she put her name on the substitute list. No matter what grade it was, she’d go in with this box of doodads and give her standard lecture on Japan. I bet the kids loved it.
